One expression used in #sports that really applies to life inside and outside the work place is, "Next man up". "Be ready so you don't have to get ready" is another phrase and it speaks to the work needed to be that next (wo)man up! A recent experience at work made me reflect on how important it is to be ready for unexpected opportunities
